Articles The National Autism Center is a strong advocate for evidence-based practice. Evidence-based practice involves the integration of research findings with (a) professional judgment and data-based clinical decision-making, (b) the values and preferences of families, and (c) the capacity to accurately implement treatments.
We believe the articles available in our Media Center, along with the research conducted under the National projects link, represent some of the most important and innovative research projects conducted with respect to Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). We hope scientists will continue to investigate a broad range of interventions that are designed to help individuals on the autism spectrum. In doing so, they will make it easier for us all to understand the ways in which these interventions improve the lives of individuals with ASD. To that end, we encourage participating in treatment. In this way, more families, educators, and service providers will get answers they need to help them make critical treatment decisions. |
