The National Autism Center is a strong advocate for evidence-based practice. Evidence-based practice involves the integration of research-supported treatments with clinical expertise and patient values. We believe the articles available in our media center and research conducted under the National projects link represent some of the most important and innovative research projects conducted with respect to Autism Spectrum Disorders. We will regularly be adding to and modifying this list so that families, educators, and service providers can become more easily informed about research-supported treatments. It is our hope that, when combined with clinical expertise and patient values, information about research-supported treatments will be used to support individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders meet their potential. |
